Planning submission

RES has now submitted a Section 36 application for consent to the Scottish Government for a 14-turbine wind farm proposal at Blair Hill, approximately 2.7 km north of Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway. The project could create a £165 million boost for the local economy.

The submission follows detailed site assessment work and extensive public consultation that has helped build our understanding of the site, identify key constraints and inform the design.

We have made a number of key design changes, including the reduction of turbine numbers from 22 to 14. A comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) captures the findings.
